Sketchbug is officially live. You can sign up today at sketchbug.art, open the sketch editor in your browser, and start drawing. No install required.

We built Sketchbug for people who want a simple place to capture ideas: doodles, diagrams, rough concepts, and anything else that is easier to sketch than to describe. Every drawing saves to your personal library so you can come back to it later.

What you can do on day one

Sketch in the browser

Open the editor and draw with a clean canvas, layers, shapes, text, and a full set of drawing tools. Sketches autosave to your account, and you can reopen them from your library whenever you need them.

Brush Hub

Create custom brushes with a live preview, tune how they behave on the canvas, and share them with the community. You can also browse brushes from other artists, save favorites to your library, and use them while you sketch, all without leaving Sketchbug.

Font Hub

Upload .ttf, .otf, .woff, and .woff2 files, preview them in their own typeface, and pick them when you add text to a sketch. Share fonts with the community the same way you share brushes.

Leaderboards and friendly competition

Both Brush Hub and Font Hub include a Leaderboard tab where artists are ranked by the total likes and downloads their shared work has received. Sort by likes to see who the community loves most, or switch to downloads to see whose brushes and fonts people are actually using.

Share a brush or font that catches on, and you will see your name climb. It is a simple way to compete with other creators, compare your reach against the rest of the community, and get a little extra motivation to publish your best work. If you are the type who likes a challenge, the leaderboard gives you a clear scoreboard to chase from day one.

A library that stays with you

Your sketches, brushes, and fonts live in one place. Open Library from your account to see everything you have saved, start a new sketch, or jump into Brush Hub and Font Hub from the header.

Why we built it this way

Most drawing apps stop at the canvas. Sketchbug is built around sketching and keeping: save your work, return to it, and build a library over time. Brush Hub and Font Hub extend that idea. You can upload creative tools, use them yourself, and share them with other artists without sending people to a separate marketplace.

Sharing is built into the product, not bolted on afterward. The leaderboards add a social layer on top: when you publish something great, the community can show it, and you can see exactly where you stand.

What is next

This is the beginning. We will keep improving the editor, expanding what Brush Hub and Font Hub can do, and sharing updates here on the blog.

If you have feedback, bug reports, or ideas, use the links in the site footer. We read everything.
